For the first time in Cheshire, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the wonder of life on Earth through the world’s best wildlife photography. Mather & Co is responsible for the exhibition design and the creation of an audio-visual display that will use projector screens to immerse visitors in the photography, making them feel as if they could step into the images. Exhibition themes will include animals in their environments, photojournalism, plants and fungi, young photographers, and more.
Gemma Wright, Visitor Experiences General Manager, at Chester Zoo said: “This world-class exhibition is a spectacular celebration of our planet’s wildlife and we’re thrilled to bring it to the zoo. Each photograph provides an incredible insight into the natural world, reminding us of its sheer beauty, fragility and the urgent need for its protection. What better place to become immersed in this stunning collection than within the grounds of the zoo – where so much vital work to protect species, just like those seen in some of the images, takes place.”
In addition to the stunning photography, visitors will also discover soundscapes, films, and expert insights that showcase the diversity and beauty of life on Earth and explore what we can do together to protect it.
The public can visit this exhibition from February 17 to April 6, 2025.
