This prestigious exhibition, celebrating its 60th year, showcases an incredible collection of images that highlight the beauty, complexity, and fragility of the natural world.

As exhibition designers, we were responsible for creating a visually engaging and immersive experience. Our work included the exhibition’s overall design and the development of an audio-visual display, utilising projector screens to transport visitors into the stunning imagery. By combining striking photography with dynamic digital storytelling, we aimed to create an experience that would not only captivate visitors but also spark meaningful conversations about wildlife conservation.

"Collaborating with both Chester Zoo and the Natural History Museum has been a fantastic experience."
Yasmin Wan, Junior 3D Designer, Mather & Co

The exhibition features 100 powerful, previously unseen images that transport visitors across continents, capturing incredible moments from mysterious depths in oceans to the unexpected beauty of Urban Wildlife. The themes explored range from animals in their environments and conservation photojournalism to plant and fungi photography and the work of young photographers.

The exhibition’s presence at Chester Zoo felt particularly fitting, as the zoo itself is a global leader in conservation, working tirelessly to protect endangered species and restore habitats worldwide.

"Each photograph provides an incredible insight into the natural world, reminding us of its sheer beauty and fragility."
